WBSD Academic Games Program

Academic Games is a series of exciting competitions designed to stimulate and test student knowledge across multiple subjects, including Math, English, Social Studies, and Logic. Students in grades 3–6 develop proficiency and confidence by competing in structured games that challenge their thinking, creativity, and strategy. Through competition, students sharpen their academic skills, build confidence, and learn how to work toward a competitive edge—all while making learning fun!

Games Students Play:

Equations – The game of creative mathematics. Players build equations using numbers and operations to match a set goal.

On-Sets – A logic game based on set theory. Players use set operations and colored cards to create sets that meet a given goal.

On-Words – A word game exploring spelling, grammar, word roots, prefixes, and suffixes. Players build words or word networks that match a numerical goal.

Propaganda – A game of persuasion. Students identify propaganda techniques found in politics, advertising, and everyday life.

Presidents – A history game focused on U.S. Presidents and the key events of their terms in office. Players identify presidents from contextual clues.
